About Project

Hydraulic hammer piling is essential for creating secure foundations in oil and gas infrastructure. Our project involved driving large-diameter steel casings into challenging subsoil conditions to prepare for offshore platform installation. The hydraulic hammer system ensured precise, efficient, and low-vibration piling operations in compliance with environmental guidelines.

Our Client’s Challenge

The site presented hard seabed conditions that required high-energy piling without compromising surrounding structures. Environmental noise restrictions demanded controlled hammering techniques to minimize impact.

Our Approach And Solution

We deployed a state-of-the-art hydraulic hammer system with adjustable strike energy. A specialized offshore crew coordinated piling operations with environmental observers to ensure compliance, completing the foundation installation ahead of schedule.

Our Approach And Solution

The $4 million project was successfully completed in two separate phases with both phases coming in on schedule and the overall costs coming in under budget. Emergency repairs to the facility were completed on December 11th, 2014 which allowed for the facility to operate through the critical winter months. Permanent electrical repairs along with less critical site deficiencies were completed in April and May of 2016 when a longer facility shut-down could be tolerated. In order to meet the required schedule, TransGas delegated procurement and construction management services to WSP.
